History
The very first Rugged Maniac race was run in 2010, in Southwick, Massachusetts, where they hosted over 2000 participants. In 2014, they were featured on ABC's Shark Tank and secured a $1.75 million deal with Mark Cuban, the billionaire entrepreneur and owner of the Dallas Mavericks. Some locations have a two-day event with two separate races, thus two winners are displayed.
