Approximately 4,500 runners participated in the first year of Rugged Maniac on Long Island on September 17, 2016. Billy Allen, winner of Rugged Maniac New York City and Rugged Maniac New Jersey 2016, clocked in the fastest time, beating second-place finisher, Robert Torres, by nearly 9 minutes.
