Roulia

Rolia رولیا is a village in Bazurgwal Union Council of Gujrat District and tehsil kharian in the Punjab province of Pakistan. It is situated on the Bhimber Road, 31 kilometres (19 mi) away from Gujrat and 6 kilometres (3.7 mi) from Bhimber. Sabour and Banian are neighbouring villages. Administratively,Mostly people from rolia belong to jatt family.

Economy

Until the late 70's agriculture and Army were the only employment. Small land holdings and no proper source of irrigation have forced people to look for alternatives. Until the mid 90's, the Middle East was the favorite destination for workers, but now people from Roulia are working in Europe, Oceania, America and many other Asian Countries.People are moving towards establishing their own Private Businesses within and outside Pakistan. Sehri Biscuit Factory is One of Them and is only Biscuit Factory in Sabour Union Council of Gujrat District.

Infrastructure

Roulia has Govt. boys and girls primary School.It has a large, beautiful, well managed Janaza Gah. Sehri Biscuit Factory is only Biscuit Factory in Area. Electricity came in 1966 and fixed line telephone in 1995. Although there is no specific marketplace, there are many shops in Roulia. Streets are paved and sewerage channels are open but lined. Internet (DSL) facility has been provided to the people of Roulia.

Geography

Geographically Roulia is situated in a plain. It is situated between Sabour and Banian Villages alongside Bhimber Road.The "Nala Bhandar" flows on the eastern side of the village.A longside "Nala Bhandar" there is dense small forest. Bhimber Road bisects the village into two halves.On western side Ladiyan village is situated.
