Rosemary Hill (born 10 April 1957) is an English writer and historian.

Life

She has published widely on 19th and 20th century cultural history, but she is best known for God's Architect, her multi-award-winning biography of Augustus Pugin. Published in 2007, it won the Wolfson History Prize, the James Tait Black Memorial Prize, the Elizabeth Longford Prize, and the Marsh Biography Award. Hill is a trustee of the Victorian Society, a contributing editor to the London Review of Books and is a Quondam Fellow of All Souls College, Oxford.

She is the widow of the poet Christopher Logue, whom she married in 1985. On 10 April 2014 she married the architectural historian and journalist Gavin Stamp.
