Rosamund Lupton (born 1964), is a British author. She studied literature at Cambridge University. She is known for her novels Sister and Afterwards. She lives in London with her husband and two children.

In her first novel, Sister, she tells the story of Beatrice, living in New York, in search for Tess, her missing sister, who lives in London.

Sister has been a great commercial success, and was sold over 1.3 million copies worldwide. It has been translated in 30 languages, and it is a best-seller on the New York Times and Sunday Times lists. It received good reviews by the New York Times. Part of the story is similar to the movie The Sixth Day.

Her second novel Afterwards was awarded "best mystery books of 2012" by the Seattle Times, and "best book of 2012" by Amazon USA.

FilmNation optioned the film rights to her third novel Quality of Silence in March 2016.

Rosamund Lupton was a winner of Carlton Television's new writers' competition, and before being a novelist, she was a script-writer for television and film, writing original screenplays.
