On June 1, 2010, Roopit Technologies launched roopit.com in Bangalore.

The main Roopit site offers micro classifieds in Bangalore. It has the following notable features:

Sellers post short sale notices (140 characters) along with a mobile phone number.

Buyers get the seller's phone number as an SMS by entering their mobile phone number.

There is no registration. A mobile phone is necessary to work with the service.
