Rone Jaxx (born Rony Jackson) is a disc jockey, artist, radio personality, entertainer, and an urban music legend. He is recognized as a hip-hop pioneer in the UAE. He is known as one of the most prominent DJs in the UAE's entertainment circuits. Rone has been a big influence in the development and popularity of HIP-HOP and R&B scene in the region. Rone started his career in the early 90's by DJ'ing and MC'ing. Rone was the only known talent in the region who could rap, DJ, produce and write, and do them with equal skills. Rone describes himself as "a conservative guy who is loyal to his family and loved ones. I enjoy simple things in life with people I care about."

Early life
Rone was born in Dubai on April 27, 1979 as Rony Jackson to Christian Pakistani parents. He was raised in Dubai. Growing up on his dad's Motown, Funk and Soul records and then his elder brothers eclectic DJ collection of Reggae, RnB, Hiphop, Disco & House, he has been a fan of music and entered the music industry in an early age. He says, "Well it was a natural progression, my elder brothers were DJs, my dad is a music lover, I used to be an art student, drawing and listening to my Walkman of mixes I used to make for myself using tape decks." Back in the days when U.A.E was not a popular place for Urban music fashion, Rone used to keep updated by ordering vinyl, Books ,Vhs, documentaries e.g BET , YoMtv Raps etc and everything and anything to do with music anytime a friend traveled.
Early career
Rone started DJ'ing and MC'ing in spontaneous venues all over U.A.E at the age of 14. He was popular for grabbing the mic while DJ'ing and battling mc's and it was clear that his big future career was inevitable. Early 2000, Rone took his production to another level with the release of his single "Here I Come" by his former group Jaxxma.
Works
Rone was the DJ and rapper for S.K.A (S Klan Assassins) which was the first official Hip-Hop group in the U.A.E organizing Club & house parties and battles with other groups or upcoming emcees in the region. When the members of SKA left the U.A.E fed up and disheartened because of the minimum support for urban music and culture, Rone formed another experimental hip-hop group Jaxxma in 2001. Jaxxma was number one and three on Broadjams Internet survey website and number one in worldwide downloads and votes. Rone has been on radio since the year 2000 starting his first Live MixShow on www.radio1uae with "crazy spin". Rone has since produced tracks and featured with various indie artists in the U.A.E, Lebanon, Canada, UK and U.S.A. He is currently working on his solo Debut album YouDontKnowJaxx due to release December 2015 The first single was released as a promo on YouTube feat Kaz Money from The Recipe.
Rone is part of various popular groups such as UDDJ, Lucid Cru (consisting of two other established Disc Jockeys releasing mix tapes every month) A member of production/DJ outfit UGP Currently, he is resident at Radio1UAE with his show 'Urban Education'. Airing since 2005 every Friday night 12 midnight till 2am educating U.A.E on the roots ,current & experimental urban music. He is also an Adidas originals brand Ambassador for the Middle East.
