Biography

Ronald Simien was born in Tifton, Georgia. He began writing in high school as a private outlet for his thoughts. He attended Tift County high school after transferring from Lake Charles, Louisiana where he attended LaGrange Senior high school. Under the guise of anonymous pen names, his work has been published in several anthologies such as Tranquil Rains of Summer, Autumn Leaves, Nature's Echoes, and America at the Millenium: the best poems and poets of the 20th century. America at the Millenium put his work in the same book with historical poets such as Robert Frost, Langston Hughes, Edgar Allan Poe, Maya Angelou amongst others.

His first collection of poetry, Thoughts was published after Ronald was selected into the International Library of Poetry's Hall of Fame. Stranded Thoughts was his next publication followed by Pains of an Innocent Stranger. Unable to convince publishers that poetry could be marketed mainstream to the masses, Ronald turned to self-publishing for two later titles, Turning Point and Naughty But Nice.

Recent Work

Ronald continues to write and shares his poetry through alternative outlets, selective print medias and private social events.
