Ronald Bradford (born 6 January 1970), is a recognized MySQL expert, author and speaker. He is the author of four books, Effective MySQL: Replication Techniques in Depth (2012), Effective MySQL: Backup and Recovery (2012), Effective MySQL: Optimizing SQL Statements (2011) and Expert MySQL and PHP (2010).

Bradford was recognized as the first Oracle ACE Director for MySQL in 2010 with Sheeri Cabral. This Oracle Technology Network ACE program recognizes individual product experts in Oracle's products. He won the MySQL Community Member of the Year award in 2009 for his contributions to the MySQL community, and again in 2013. Bradford has been acknowledged as the top MySQL blogger in 2010 at Planet MySQL, and the all-time top individual blog contributor to the MySQL community.
Bradford has a bachelor's degree in Applied Science majoring in Mathematics and Scientific Computing from University of Southern Queensland and has all current MySQL certifications including MySQL 5 Database Administrator, 5 Developer and 5.1 Cluster Database Administrator.
He founded Effective MySQL in 2010, which has a book series with Oracle Press, extensive MySQL presentations and local technology meetings in New York.
