Established in 1330 as Diocese of Ceo, as part of the Venetian Duchy of Naxos, on island territory in the Cyclades with see on the island of Kea
Renamed in 1600 as Diocese of Thermia after its new see when the bishopric moved to the island of Kythnos
Suppressed in 1650, after the Ottoman conquest
In 1933 it would be nominally restored as Titular Episcopal See of Cea
