Career

Masson made his professional debut with Gothiques d'Amiens in the Ligue Magnus in 2002. He spent two seasons in Amiens before shifting to another Ligue Magnus team, Rapaces de Gap, in 2004. A single season in Gap was all he managed before moving to the Lyon Hockey Club in 2005 where he became a popular player, earning the nickname "The Magician" for his goal scoring ability and keen skills with the puck. He remained until 2009 where he signed for Vipers de Montpellier and after one season he moved to Boxers de Bordeaux.

In 2002 he was a member of the French Under-20 World Championship squad and in 2003 he repeated that performance.

In 2003 he was part of Gap's championship team in the Ligue Magnus and he has also played as part of Amiens' Junior Elite championship team in 2002.
