Roger aspired to become a country music singer since he was six years old. He started learning how to play piano in the second grade, but didn't learn guitar until he was a student at Tuloso-Midway High School. He was always found singing to himself during his early years, since he was shy around others. After high school, Roger attended Sam Houston State University and earned a degree in business. Roger went on to Texas A&M University in College Station to earn a degree in agriculture. In College Station, the Texas Music Revolution helped Roger become a successful musician. Since the release of his first album in 1998, Roger has become a fixture on the Texas Music scene, becoming known for his high energy performances and large following.
