Early life

Semprun was born in Alcobendas, Madrid, Spain. He raised between Spain and Mexico City. He is the only child of the Spanish diplomat Ricardo Semprun and Mexican nutritionist Greta Bernal.
Rodrigo is the grandson of Jorge Semprun author, screenwriter, and former Minister of Culture for Spain. Great-son of the Spanish diplomat Jose Maria Semprun Gurrea and great-great-grandson of Antonio Maura, Prime Minister of Spain on five separate occasions.

Education

In 2011, Semprun graduated with a Bachelor of Business Administration degree and a Master in Finance from ESADE Business School.
Semprun is a certified Private pilot. At age 23, he earned a Private pilot license after receiving flight training at Encore Flight Academy, located at Van Nuys Airport.
He speaks four languages fluently. (Spanish, English, Italian, German).

Polo

His passion for horses began at an early age, his family owns a horse farm, located in Spain.
Rodrigo started playing Polo at age 20. He was inspired to play and get involved for charitable tournaments.
He is a 7 goal Polo Player and member of the USPA.
