History

Robinsons Manila was originally built in the 1980s, on the site of what was then the campus of the Ateneo de Manila University before it relocated to Loyola Heights and the Assumption Convent before it relocated to San Lorenzo Village, Makati. It was then redeveloped into a 7-level shopping complex housing over 330 local shops, dining outlets, entertainment facilities and service centers. The Padre Faura Wing was opened in June 2000 which contains additional shopping and dining facilities. It has opened another wing, The Midtown Wing or The Midtown in mid-2008 making it larger than Robinsons Galleria and therefore the largest Robinsons Mall. The new wing was built on what used to be the adjacent Manila Midtown Hotel, opened in 1976 and closed down in 2003, and demolished in 2004.

Robinsons Place Manila is connected to a twin tower residential high-rise condominium – Robinsons Place Residences, and a triple tower residential high-rise condominium - Adriatico Place Residences.
