Professional career
Tuchman graduated from Boston University College of Communication with a degree in Broadcast Journalism in 1993. He began his professional career with Sports Phone in 1993, while also serving as an investment advisor with Lehman Brothers. In 1994 he was a sales representative for Chicago-based Sports Profiles.
In 1996, he founded TSE Sports & Entertainment in his one-bedroom Manhattan apartment. TSE had offices in Cincinnati and New York.
In February 2006, Tuchman sold the majority of TSE Sports & Entertainment to North America Sports Media, a platform company of private equity firm Pfingsten Partners. TSE Sports & Entertainment became Premiere Global Sports in June 2008.
Tuchman signed an agreement with AMACOM in 2007 to release a part autobiography and part “how to” book titled Young Guns: The Fearless Entrepreneur's Guide To Chasing Your Dreams and Breaking Out on Your Own. The story is a self-proclaimed inspirational one, for readers looking to succeed in business by following their passion in life- something Tuchman says he did with his dreams of working in sports. Tuchman is also the author of 100 Sporting Events You Must See Live. Both books were released in April, 2009.
Tuchman founded Skylight Entertainment, a holding company for several sports and entertainment businesses in March 2011.
In 2012, Tuchman started Goviva that offered once-in-a-lifetime experiences around culinary, sports, and other lifestyle events. Goviva made the Inc.500 list and was then acquired by Creative Artists Agency in 2015.
Personal life
Tuchman has been involved with several New York-based charity organizations. He is a board member for the New York Chapter of the ALS Association and involved with the Leukemia and Lymphoma Society's Team and Training. An avid runner and triathlete, he has completed an Ironman Triathlon on two different occasions. Tuchman is part of Sports and Arts in School Foundation (SASF) in New York City. SASF works with over 50,000 New York City school kids by offering them after school opportunities with sports and arts programs.
