Robert Daniel Stryk (born November 12, 1975) is an American businessman and politician. He has founded several successful businesses and is the Proprietor of Pyrenees Vineyard and Cellars located in Oregon’s Umpqua Valley AVA. In 2010, Stryk was a candidate for mayor of Yountville, California in the Napa Valley.

Early life

Stryk was raised in Scottsdale, Arizona. He attended Brophy College Preparatory in Phoenix, Arizona and Arizona State University in Tempe, Arizona.

While at Brophy College Prep, Stryk began his political career by interning in the Phoenix office of United States Senator John McCain. At Arizona State University, he served as Chief of Staff to the Associated Students of Arizona State University, the student government of the university.

Politics

Stryk moved to Washington, D.C. to continue his public service working in the offices of Representatives J. D. Hayworth and Jim Kolbe. He also worked on the 1996 presidential campaign of Senator Bob Dole.

In 2000, Stryk served as a consultant for President George W. Bush at the Ames Straw Poll in Ames, Iowa during the United States presidential election, 2000.

Stryk later managed voter contact and messaging projects for President Bush’s campaign, the National Rifle Association and the Republican National Committee.

In 2010, Stryk ran unsuccessfully for mayor of Yountville, California in Napa County.

In 2001, Stryk co-founded GOPJOB.com with Denise Helm, a Kansas native and a former aide to United States Senator Bob Dole. Senator Dole endorsed GOPJOB.com and his likeness appeared on the company's website and promotional materials.

Sonoran Policy Group In 2001 at the age of 26, Stryk founded the Sonoran Policy Group,(SPGDC) a full service government relations, public sector procurement and business advisory organization with an emphasis in defense, intelligence and homeland security advocacy.

Public disclosure records show that SPGDC has represented public safety, intelligence, homeland security, law enforcement, and national security interests. Stryk was nominated to the post by Georgia Congressman Lynn Westmoreland.

Pyrenees Vineyard and Cellars

Stryk is the Proprieter of the award-winning Pyrenees Vineyard and Cellars, a winery founded in 2009 in Oregon’s Umpqua Valley AVA. Pyrenees Vineyard and Cellars sets along the South Umpqua River surrounded by 30 acres of lush grapes and rolling hillside.
