Robert Wichard Pohl (10 August 1884, Hamburg – 5 June 1976, Gottingen) was a German physicist.

In 1938 Robert Pohl and Rudolf Hilsch, from the University of Gottingen, built the first functioning solid-state amplifier using salt as the semiconductor.
