Robert Melgoza (born June 8, 1969) is an award winning dance instructor and, with wife Christy Melgoza, owner of The Arthur Murray Dance Studio Woodland Hills. Having left the corporate arena for the world of dance in 1999, Robert has held the title of Number 1 Specialist Dance Instructor for Arthur Murray International organization. In 2010, Robert was presented with the 17th Annual Golden Horn Award for his constant support and generous contributions to the Valley communities, as well as recognition from Pepperdine University for his participation in their MBA Program's Education to Business Initiative.

Early Career as an Instructor
Having started dancing full-time in 1999, Melgoza went on to become an Arthur Murray International dance instructor in early 2000. By 2002 Robert was ranked the Top Specialist Instructor for the worldwide Arthur Murray Dance Organization, a position he maintained for three years until, in 2005, he bought his own Arthur Murray Dance studio with wife Christy.
Career as a Studio Owner
As co-owner of Arthur Murray Woodland Hills Dance Studio Melgoza has won many other awards as an instructor, studio owner, and professional dancer. Not only is Melgoza now one of the top performing owners of Arthur Murray International, he is also one of the few Arthur Murray Corporate Trainers designated to train other franchisees and teachers around the country, as well as holding the title of District Leader for his respective area of franchise locations. His focus on attentive instruction, competitive team members, and overall management style have allowed Melgoza's studio to collect the following prestigious awards:
Community Work
Melgoza works closely with the Valley Cultural Center, helping them to raise funds for Music, Dance, and the Arts in the San Fernando Valley community. Melgoza received the Golden Horn award from VCC in 2010
Melgoza also volunteers his own and his studio's time to teach dance to Autistic and learning disabled children in conjunction with The Help Group in Sherman Oaks.
Melgoza has been recognized by the State of California, and the City of Los Angeles for his community work.
