Robert Daglish (December 21, 1779 – December 28, 1865) was a British civil engineer.

Life

He worked at the Haight Foundry.

He managed the Orrell Colliery. In 1812 he built a steam locomotive. He was a surveyor for the Bolton and Leigh Railway.

In 1833, he rebuilt the Novelty steam engine. He was a member of the Institution of Civil Engineers. He died at Orrell.

He is buried at Church of St Thomas the Martyr, Upholland churchyard.

His son was Robert Daglish.
