Life and career
Robert Costin studied at the Royal Academy of Music and Pembroke College, Cambridge, where he was organ scholar from 1990 to 1993. His teachers included David Sanger and Nicholas Danby. He moved to New Zealand in 1993, holding organist posts at Wellington Cathedral of St Paul and Holy Trinity Cathedral, Auckland, before returning to the United Kingdom as Assistant Director of Music at Blackburn Cathedral. He was a major prize winner at the 1994 Hamilton International Organ Competition. Robert has held teaching posts at Worksop College, Bedford School, Ardingly College, Highgate School, and St Paul's Cathedral School. He has performed extensively throughout Europe, Australasia and North America.
