Ep: 50 - Professional Sports Betting

Robert Angelo Pizzola (born December 12, 1986, in Etobicoke, Ontario) is a Canadian sports broadcaster, who co-hosted Up2Date on The Score Satellite Radio and Red Heat on both The Score Satellite Radio and The Score Television Network. In addition to co-hosting, Pizzola also produced both shows, as well as, a weekly CFL show called Up2Date in the CFL. In late 2010, Pizzola's co-host Cam Stewart announced that Rob had accepted a position with ScoreMobile and was leaving The Score Satellite Radio.

After growing up in Philadelphia and living in Woodbridge, Ontario, he now resides in Toronto. To this day, he credits all of his success to the information that he received in out-of-town newspapers that he used to pick up at the Philadelphia International Airport.

The Score Satellite Radio

Pizzola joined The Score Satellite Radio in Toronto as an intern for radio host Gabriel Morency. After putting in time as an intern, Pizzola was eventually hired as a weekend update guy and eventually as a full-time producer. Pizzola produced Hardcore Football Sunday, Speculation, Game On!, Game On: Sunday, and was a fill-in producer for Sports Rage.

After a full year of producing those shows, Pizzola was selected to produce a couple of shows headed by Morency and by fellow Hardcore Sports Radio personality Cam Stewart on two shows by the names of Morency and Covers Experts (Formerly Game On!). Covers Experts was broadcast every weekday at 6:30pm EST on The Score Television Network and Hardcore Sports Radio. After Morency was let go by The Score, Pizzola was selected as his successor on Covers Experts.

Handicapping

Pizzola was chosen by Wall St Cheat Sheet to give some tips on handicapping the NCAA Basketball Tournament in 2010. Pizzola also gave out daily picks when he co-hosted Covers Experts and continues to appear on Red Heat from time to time to give his 'six pack' on PGA Tour events. Pizzola routinely cites prominent handicappers such as Dave Cokin of smokincokin.com among his influences. As a child, Pizzola's dream was to someday beat the Houston Texans; however, he admittedly was unable to achieve this goal.
