Contents

Hoskins is an ordained general-appointed missionary of the Assemblies of God Church. In 2008, Hoskins began serving on the Board of Trustees at Oral Roberts University; and was appointed as Chair in 2014 - a position he held until April, 20th 2017 when he transitioned the position to his successor, Dr. Mike Rakes. Hoskins graduated with an Honorary Doctorate of Divinity from Oral Roberts University in May 2017. He serves on the Editorial Board for Ministry Today as well as on the Executive Committee Work Group for the Lausanne Committee for World Evangelization.

In 2005, Hoskins received the John Maxwell leadership award and five years later was named as one of 21 emerging leaders of the Church in Charisma Magazine.

Early life

Born to missionary parents Bob and Hazel Hoskins, Hoskins was born in Bangor, Maine and has lived in Lebanon, France, California and Florida. He attended the American International School for his primary education in Lebanon, International Lycee for junior high school in France and Westminster Academy for senior high school in Ft. Lauderdale, Florida. He earned a Bachelor of Arts degree from Vanguard University in Costa Mesa, California.

Personal life

In 1986, Hoskins married his wife, Kim. They have two daughters, Diandra and Natasha. The family resides near OneHope’s global headquarters in Pompano Beach, Florida.

Career

Hoskins joined Book of Hope (now OneHope) in 1989 and was appointed president in 2004. He has introduced a number of other mediums in addition to books, including online games, film, mobile apps, and trading cards.

Research

In 2007, Hoskins was instrumental in launching a 44-country research initiative named Spiritual State of the World’s Children, so that OneHope could learn more about the unique needs, experiences and social traditions of children and youth around the world, including the United States.

Over the course of 4 years, more than 152,000 13- to 19-year-olds on 5 continents answered questions about their life. The research was collected by the Metadigm Group; the analysis was completed by Elite research in 2011. The research findings enable OneHope to customize its Scripture programs to address the specific needs of young people in different communities.

Hoskins decided to make the research available for free so that other organizations may benefit from its findings.

Recognition

In 2005, Hoskins was given the John Maxwell Leadership Award.
