Ritsumeikan Uji Junior and Senior High School(立命館宇治中学校・高等学校) (also known in Japanese as Rits-Uji) is a private school located in the city of Uji, Kyoto, Japan. The high school opened on 1994 and the middle school opened on 2002. It is currently one of the four junior and senior high schools owned by Ritsumeikan University, along with Ritsumeikan Asia Pacific University and another elementary school.

The middle school and high school is noted for its English language education and athletic achievement. In 2004, it was designated a Super English Language (SEL) high school by the Japanese government. Since, 2009, the school was administered by IBO as the first legal Japanese institution in the Kansai region that provides International Baccalaureate Diploma Program. From, 2014, the school has become one of the Super Global High Schools approved by the Japanese government.
Junior High School
Like the high school, the middle school is known for its international school spirit, where 30 to 40% of the students are returnee or foreign students. The typical number of students in each grade is around 10 students. Its English Class is divided into four classes, A1, A2, A3, and Regular, where many students from the A1 class move up to the IB course.
Senior High School
The High School is the second oldest high school established by Ritsumeikan University. In each grade, there are around 400 students.
Ikkan(一貫) and Futsuu(普通) Course
Ikkan(means integrated) course refers the course that all non-IM or IB students enrolls from Ritsumeikan Uji Middle School. New students who enrolled from the high school are in the Futsuu (means normal) Course. The 2 courses merge from junior year, where students decide to take Rikei (理系Science-focused) or Bunkei (文系humanities-focused) Course.
The Ikkan and Futsuu Course prepares students for entry into Ritsumeikan University, one of the leading private universities in Japan.
IM(Immersion) Course
The IM course offers English immersion education, where students will study a whole academic year abroad either in Canada, USA, or New Zealand, and by their senior year are carrying out all of their coursework in English.
IB(International Baccalaureate) Course
Authorised by IBO on 2009, the IB course has around 25 to 30 students from each grade taking the IB Diploma Programme in English in each grade. The IB Course offers students the opportunity to earn a dual degree: the universal recognised IB Diploma as well as a standard Japanese high school diploma. All classes are taught in English by native-level speakers. Around half of the students are from the middle school, and the other half consists of students from other foreign or Japanese schools. The school's IB program was noted for producing a graduate with a perfect IB score of 45 on 2012's November Exam. Offered IB subjects include:
High School Dorm-Firits House
High school students can choose to live in the high school's dorm, 15 minutes away from the school by bus. The dorm, accommodated with a cafeteria, has the ability to house 380 students.
International Student Forum (ISF)
In this week-long event, the school hosts a forum consisting of the school's students and 80 students from schools around the world to discuss about various global issues. The event usually consists of around 200 students including the school's own students.
Matriculation
Students from Ritsumeikan Uji not only (although mostly for the Ikkan and Futsuu Course students) matriculate to Ritsumeikan University and Ritsumeikan Asia Pacific University, but also to other Japanese private, public, and national universities, American, British, Canadian, and other overseas universities.
