The album became a huge commercial success, spending three weeks at number 1 in the UK Albums Chart, and achieving 3x Platinum status. The title track also went to number one in the UK Singles Chart.

On April 30, 2001, Go Beat re-released Rise in the UK with six bonus tracks:
