Rim Turkmani is a Syrian-born astrophysicist formerly at Imperial College London and Dorothy Hodgkin Research Fellow of the Royal Society. Turkmani gained her BSc in electrical engineering at the University of Damascus, then moved to Sweden to study for a masters in physics at Chalmers University, where she stayed on to undertake a PhD in astrophysics.
