Rikichi Tsukada (塚田 理喜智, Tsukada Rikichi, December 15, 1892 – May 19, 1958) was a Lieutenant General of the Imperial Japanese Army.

Early career

Tsukada was commissioned as a second lieutenant in the Japanese Imperial Army in 1916. In 1924 he graduated from the War College.

In 1937 he was chief of intelligence in the North China Army Area, with the rank of colonel.

World War II

When war broke out in the Pacific, he was chief of staff of 1st Air Division. In 1942, he was promoted to Major general.

In 1944, Tsukada became commander of Teishin Shudan. Then he served in the Philippines, led the Kenbu Group. In March 1945, he was promoted to lieutenant general.

Death

Tsukada died on May 19, 1958.
