Written by lead singer, Dan Gilroy and drummer, Stephen Bray, the single climbed to #7 on the Billboard Hot 100 on May 30, 1987. The single also peaked at #54 in the United Kingdom and #7 on the U.S. Billboard Hot Dance Club Play chart in the same year.
