Richie Boulet (born June 14, 1973) is a retired track runner who specialized in the mile, although he also ran in other various middle-distance and long-distance disciplines. He holds a degree in forestry.

High school

Boulet attended Sir Francis Drake High School. In 1990, he ran the 5000-meter cross country course at the CIF State Championship, placing 3rd in the Division IV race with a time of 15:46 (min:sec). In the 1991 California state outdoor meet, he placed fifth in the 1600-meter race.

Collegiate

Boulet studied and ran at University of California, Berkeley. He was the first Cal athlete to win All-America honors in cross country, indoor track, and outdoor track and was coached by Tony Sandoval. In 1994, Cal recruited Polish-born distance runner Magdalena Lewy, who Boulet would eventually marry.

Post-collegiate

After college, Boulet ran professionally for New Balance until 2000. On January 9, 1999, Boulet won the indoor mile at the 1999 New Balance Games at New York, against competition featuring James Njoroge, Tom Nohilly, Scott Anderson, Derek Treadwell, and Matt Holthaus.
