Todd was a gold medal winner at the 1980 Concours Internationale Toulon and a Pro Musicis International Foundation Award winner. Gunther Schuller personally selected him to record his Concerto No. 1 for Horn and Orchestra with the Saarbrucken Radio Orchestra.
Todd is Principal Horn of the Los Angeles Chamber Orchestra and Associate Professor of Horn at the University of Miami Frost School of Music.
