Rich Kahn wins Ernst & Young Award


Rich Kahn, born in the Bronx in 1972, is an American business executive and currently the CEO of advertising technology company eZanga.com.

Kahn is recognized as a security expert and one of the more notable search engine marketing gurus in the advertising industry. He is the CEO of eZanga.com, an online advertising services company that was founded with his wife. He spearheaded the in-house development of Traffic Advisors, eZanga’s click fraud filtration platform.

In 2010, Kahn received the Ernst & Young Entrepreneur of the Year award in the technology industry for the greater Philadelphia area and was a finalist in the American Business Awards for Best Executive of the Year. In 2011, Kahn was featured in the Smart 100 book as a Smart100 CEO.

Kahn got his start in business in 1993, on the cusp of the dot-com bubble, when he organized and wrote an e-magazine that led to his next endeavor, the First Street Corporation, an Internet Service Provider that he later sold to a publicly traded organization.

In 1999, he co-founded Paid for Surf, which reached $1 million in revenue in its first five months of operation. Two years later, Kahn joined advertising network AdOrigin as its COO. Kahn also has held positions with business stalwarts such as Verizon Wireless and Bloomberg. He has been quoted in several major publications such as Inc. Magazine, MarketingProfs Direct Marketing News, Adotas, Search Engine Watch, Search Engine Land, SmartCEO Magazine, Wired Magazine ) and Crain’s New York Business, and has appeared on CNN.
