Career

From 2005 until 2009, Sanchez was the Vice-President of Content for Turner Broadcasting's GameTap service. He oversaw all of the original game and video development, game licensing, and content strategy for the service. While there he became known for promoting the development of episodic games. He has written articles for Gamasutra and GameDaily and presented at the D.I.C.E. Summit on the subject of episodic games, establishing what he called the "Three Laws of Episodics" that are a guide for GameTap's development of episodic games.

In addition to working on episodic game development, Ricardo was the creator and executive producer of Revisioned: Tomb Raider, based on the Tomb Raider franchise featuring the voice of Minnie Driver and the creative talents of Brian Pulido, Warren Ellis, Ivan Reis, Cully Hamner, and Peter Chung among others.

Before launching Gametap in 2005, Ricardo was a founder of IGN Entertainment and served as the Vice-President of Publishing, managing IGN, GameSpy, Rotten Tomatoes, Team Xbox and the Planet Network and Vault Network.

While at Imagine Media Ricardo was the disc editor for Next Generation and Ultra Game Players magazines.

He was also a video and interactive producer for the Freedom Forum's Newseum before it launched.
