Description

Rheum webbianum grows to about 0.3–2 metres (1 ft 0 in–6 ft 7 in) in height. This herbaceous plant is very variable, especially in the leaf size and plant height. It has radical leaves with 30–45 centimetres (12–18 in) long petiole. Leaves are leathery, orbicular to reniform, about 10–50 centimetres (3.9–19.7 in) wide. Flowers are pale yellowish and have a diameter of 2–2.5 centimetres (0.79–0.98 in). The flowering period extends from June through September.

Distribution

This species is present in Pakistan, India and Nepal. It grows on slopes at an elevation of 2,000–4,500 metres (6,600–14,800 ft) above sea level.
