  • Reception

The film had a huge hype prior to its release due to Tamil cinema veterans K.Balachander and Bharathiraja coming together for the first time together in a film. The film received poor reviews from almost all reviewers for its mediocre script, amateurish screenplay, acting and non-existing entertainment factor. Sify labelled it as one of the "Biggest Bore" of 2010, The Hindu called it as a different film with more minuses than pluses. The film was one of the biggest flops of 2010 and was a major financial blow for director Shankar and his production house S Pictures.
