Resistance (2003 film)

Yankee pilot Maj. Theodore Brice (Bill Paxton) crash-lands his jet in rural Belgium in the midst of World War II. Badly wounded, Brice crawls from the scene and takes cover in the wilderness. After a young boy leads him to the home of the leader of the Belgian Resistance, Henri Daussois (Philippe Volter), Brice plots to return to the wreckage to retrieve an essential Allied codebook. As Brice recovers from his injuries, he finds himself falling for Daussois lovely wife, Claire (Julia Ormond).

Resistance is a war movie released in 2003. It was written by Todd Komarnicki and Anita Shreve, stars Bill Paxton, Julia Ormond, Philippe Volter, Sandrine Bonnaire, and Victor Reinier, and was directed by Todd Komarnicki. Resistance, with a 16 million euro budget, was the most expensive Dutch production ever. Its theatrical run lasted for just one week.

The epic tale of an American reconnaissance pilot downed in occupied Belgium at the height of World War II. Hidden by resistance fighters, the pilot falls in love with the wife of the man who will save him. When their affair is exposed, an act of betrayal threatens their lives and the entire resistance movement, forcing the pilot to make a powerful choice that could change the course of the war.
