Biography

He was born and raised in Copenhagen, Denmark and has lived and worked in various cities like Sydney, Tokyo, Milan, Paris, Los Angeles, and Miami. Fris is an expert in the field of beauty and grooming. Rene’s specialty is making his clients feel comfortable in their own skin. He teaches them to embrace who they are and what they have. Rene Fris has found a way of equating true happiness to the art of making people look and feel amazing by creating a style and fashion sensibility they are comfortable with.

Occupation

Rene Fris is a best-selling author of two personal grooming books in Europe. He is also a New York Sunday Style columnist for Denmark’s leading daily newspaper. In the past, he has worked as the editor-in-chief of Hairstyle and Beauty Magazine.

Fris started his hair career 15 years ago. He worked behind the scenes in TV and film which quickly gave him a reputation for hair-cutting, coloring and grooming. He dominated the world of hair which prompted his decision to sell his salon in Denmark and move to New York in 1999 to become one of New York’s most sought after stylist. Fris developed his own line of styling tools that are sold in Denmark, Sweden and Norway. Currently, he owns and operates a salon in New York called Salon SCK.

In pursuing his “American Dream”, Rene Fris has been recognized as Head Stylist at Elizabeth Arden’s Red Door Salon at Saks 5th Avenue, celebrity stylist for John Frieda salons, grooming specialist on TV series Queer Eye for the Straight Guy, mentor and co-host of TV show Shear Genius, with a successful modeling career with the Wilhelmina Modeling Agency. Rene has shaped the careers of hundreds of stylists, and the list of celebrities and models that have passed through his doors is endless.

As a fashion entrepreneur, Rene Fris has his own website, ReneFris.com, which brings his unique approach to beauty to clients all around the world. The website provides users with online styling consultations which come in the form of videos about Rene’s thoughts on current fashion topics. For a fixed price, Rene will produce styling videos that specifically caters to his client’s individual needs. Rene also reaches out to his clients through Instagram, Twitter, and Facebook. His social media activities keep his audience informed and interested in his work.

Philosophy
