This quirky comedy from Iceland follows the hapless young Axel (Bjorn Jorundur Friðbjornsson) as he tries to track down the missing remote control to his mothers television. Axels search initially points to his rebellious sister (Margret Gustavsdottir), which leads him to discover that the remote control has accidentally been destroyed. Determined to find a replacement, Axel encounters an increasingly strange procession of characters, including a shifty smuggler named Moli (Helgi Bjornsson).

Remote Control (Icelandic: Sodoma Reykjavik ( pronunciation ) in Icelandic) is an Icelandic film from 1992 directed by Oskar Jonasson. The plot is a farce, revolving around the young car mechanic Axel and his adventure in the Reykjavik underworld which starts when his mother insists that he must recover the remote control to her TV. It was screened in the Un Certain Regard section at the 1993 Cannes Film Festival.
The film stars Bjorn Jorundur Friðbjornsson as Axel, and features the Icelandic metal band HAM.
Since his mother wants to watch TV, Axel, a young auto-mechanic, must recover her remote control, accidentally taken by his punk sister Maja. During his quest, he becomes involved in the conflict between Moli, the liquor smuggler, and Aggi, a night club owner who wants to be Iceland's first mafia boss.
