The Reformed Apostolic Church was a millinalistic personality cult under the leadership of a former Elder, Freddie Isaacs of the Reformed Old Apostolic Church. It was part of a branch within Christianity known as Irvingism and is separate from Protestantism

History

Freddie Isaacs was an Elder of the Reformed Old Apostolic Church, that broke away and formed the Reformed Apostolic Church and elected himself Apostle and God of his own church.

In 2002 his daughter, whom he has made a Prophet in his church, reveals that she has received a revelation that Isaacs would die in January 2002. His followers start planning his funeral amid media attention. Isaacs begins a period of fasting. The day of his predicted death arrives, without him dying. Police are called in to ensure that no foul play takes place.

In 2003 Isaacs receives a revelation from God, giving him the cure for AIDS. He starts selling the cure, and also claims to be able to diagnose AIDS in persons by placing his hand on their foreheads. His AIDS cure is marketed through Comforters Healing Gift (PTY) LTD. One of the persons named that is involved in the company is Christine Qunta, a former member of the SABC board.

The Reformed Apostolic Church was abolished after the death of Freddie Isaacs.

Teachings

Isaacs teaches that there is no God, and that he is the only God of his church. All other churches are corrupt and sectarian. His church is the only true church.
