History

Zansor Systems, LLC was formed in March 1999 in Atlanta Georgia, as a healthcare software and services company. Formed by Dr. Al Lintel, an urgent care physician, to help him refer patients to specialists. Once he had determined the specialty a patient needed Dr. Lintel then had to identify a specialist on the patient's health plan network then locate the form that the health plan required and request an authorization. At the time he had a drawer full of healthplan referral forms and healthcare physician ID numbers. Zansor created a simple wizard to collect referral information using a database to quickly retrieve information, place this information on the plan specific form and submit it to the healthplan for authorization. Zansor referral coordinators then obtained an authorization for the physician.

In 2008 the name of Zansor Systems, LLC was changed to Referalink Network, LLC. This change has been driven by our customers desire to reduce medical malpractice risk. Two preventable malpractice risks can be reduced by encouraging patients to seek specialist care and tracking and acting on the consult reports generated by the specialist visit. The Zansor database has been expanded to include a patient and report tracking system to address these malpractice risks.

Today practice models are moving away from a fee for service model toward a Medical Home and an Accountable care organization. Both of these organizations encourage physicians to track patients and reports. Alerts are generated for problem authorizations, non-compliant patients, and missing consult reports.
