Rectrix Aviation is a jet charter and commuter airline service that primarily serves New England, Florida and the east coast. Its commercial operations are based out of Nantucket Memorial Airport and Barnstable Municipal Airport in Nantucket, MA and Hyannis, MA, respectively. The only commercial flight it operates is between Nantucket and Hyannis. Rectrix Shuttle, the commuter service, was founded when Island Airlines of Nantucket shut down.

Rectrix's charter flights are based out of Sarasota, FL, Bedford, MA, Hyannis, MA, Westfield, MA and Worcester MA. Rectrix acquired its worldwide jet operating authority in 2009 with its acquisition of New World Jet Corporation.
Rectrix Aviation
On November 4th 2015; Rectrix Aviation purchased Five Star Jet Center at Westfield-Barnes Regional Airport and announced plans to expand its services and staff at the airport, making it the only fixed base operator or FBO at the Westfield-Barnes.
On February 8th 2016; Submitted an application to the Department of Transportation to conduct scheduled air service as a commuter carrier. The application proposed scheduled service between Hyannis, MA (KHYA) and Nantucket, MA (KACK).
On October 14th 2016; Richard Cawley, Rectrix's chief executive officer, announced that it intends to offer a daily commercial flight from Worcester Regional Airport to Baltimore Washington International Airport within the next year.
On March 6th 2017; Rectrix Commercial Aviation Services announced that its Aerodrome Center located at L.G. Hanscom Field Airport in Bedford, Mass. (BED) is now an approved “gateway FBO” for general And corporate aviation flights to Ronald Reagan Washington National Airport (DCA). Approved operators may now use Rectrix at BED as their departure point into DCA.
