The Recording, Radio, Film Connection and Casa Schools (RRFC) is a for-profit school in Los Angeles, California. The school was founded in 1983 in Malibu, California as The Radio Connection. Contents

RRFC is accredited by The National Private Accreditation Group (NPSAG) to award bachelor's and master's equivalent degrees in audio, film, music business, and other fields. The school offers 17 degree programs and 2 graduate certificates and lists a student population of around 5,100. RRFC is also a recognized member of The National Academy of Recording Arts & Sciences (NARAS), The National Association for Music Education (NAFME), and The Better Business Bureau (BBB).

History

The Recording, Radio, Film Connection was founded by Jimi Petulla in Malibu, California in 1983. Operating under the name “Radio Connection” at that time, the school was established to train students in broadcasting. Six years later in 1989 the curriculum was expanded into the recording arts, helping students to learn how to become audio engineers. The school relocated to Los Angeles, California in 2006 and new courses were added to the core recording arts program. Later that decade, coursework expanded beyond audio-only programs—beginning with the addition of a film program in 2000. In 2011, RRFC moved to its current location at Los Angeles Center Studios.

Schools and Programs

RRFC operates its apprenticeship program throughout the entire United States as well as parts of Britain, Canada, and Australia and consist of the Recording Connection, Film Connection, Radio Connection and most recently CASA Schools. When students enroll into the program they are paired with a local active professional in their respective field who mentors using a combination of one-on-one hands on experience and curriculum created by the Recording, Radio and Film Connection.
