Raymond William Westwood (14 April 1912 – January 1982) was an English footballer who played at both professional and international levels as an inside forward.

Career

Born in Kingswinford, Westwood played professionally for Bolton Wanderers and Chester, making a total of 339 appearances in the Football League; he also played non-league football for Stourbridge, Brierley Hill Alliance and Darwen.

Westwood earned six caps for England between 1934 and 1936.

Personal life

He was the uncle of Duncan Edwards (1936–1958), the Manchester United and England wing-half who died as a result of the Munich air disaster in February 1958.

He died in January 1982 at the age of 69.
