Ray Jacques Bassil, (Born 20 October 1988) is a Lebanese Trapshooter. In 2016, she won the Gold Medal at the ISSF World Cup that was held in Nicosia, Cyprus.

In 2015, she was awarded the Gold Medal at the Arab Shooting Championship in Morocco.

In 2007 She was bronze medalist at the ISSF World Cup in Nicosia, Cyprus.

She represented Lebanon at the 2012 Olympic Games in London, and at the 2016 Olympic Games in Rio de Janeiro where she finished 14th.

Shooting to Ray is an instinct. Her story began with an idea fostered by her father and which propelled the discovery of her talent in pulling the gun and becoming an expert markswoman.

In a male dominated sports, an 8-year-old started her journey of shaping and forming her marks in trap-shooting.
Despite being a graduate and holder of a Bachelor’s degree in Food & Beverage Management from a top ranking Lebanese University – NDU, she could not quiet her fascination with the sport.
Ray started her professional competitive career at the young age of 16 even before considering her educational path.
Competing was and remains her ultimate passion, this drive took her to becoming the first Arab woman to compete in an Olympic game in London in 2012 as well as in Rio di Janeiro in 2016, not less noteworthy to mention that she has achieved the status of the first woman to win three consecutive World Cup Championship medals, 1 Gold and 2 Silver in 2016.
All her achievements are a reflection of her perseverant character which dedicated long hours and days into perfecting her sport and ultimately being a recognized champion whether on a local, regional or world level.
She continuously strives to be a first, first among Arab Woman, first among Asian Woman and First as a World Champion and Olympic medalist.
She has set all her ambitions now towards wining the Olympic medal in Tokyo in 2020 for Lebanon.
Her history and participation record for such a young woman is indeed remarkable.
Wining is not a hobby to her, it is her passion and her essence of being as a trapshooter.
