Churches

Rathcoffey church is part of the Clane & Rathcoffey Parish. The church was built in 1710.

Education

Pubs

Rathcoffey has two pubs one of which is located inside the GAA clubhouse. The other pub called Tierney's is located on the main road and was set up in 1960. It is generally the main drinking hole in Rathcoffey.

GAA

There is one GAA club in Rathcoffey.The club was founded in 1888.They typically wear the colors blue and white. They play Hurling, Camogie and Gaelic Football. For more information see Rathcoffey GAA. Rathcoffey Football were Kildare JFC Champions 1990.

History

The Wogan family of Rathcoffey Castle were the principal landowners in the Middle Ages. In 1453 a private war erupted between different branches of the family for possession of the Castle.
