Ratanapol Sor Vorapin (born Preecha Charoenthada, former Anucha Phothong, 6 June 1974 in Amphoe Dan Khun Thot, Thailand), is a professional boxer. He is the older brother of former WBO Bantamweight champion Ratanachai Sor Vorapin.

Early life

Ratnapapol Sor Vorapin was born in a poor family. Although his family as a farmer. Even his family have plenty of land. But the land on the mountain, can not be cultivated. He must be boxer because poverty, beginning from Muaythai.

Professional career

Sor Vorapin turned pro in 1990 and on December 10, 1992, in Bangkok, Thailand, scored a 12-round split decision victory over Manny Melchor to win the IBF Minimumweight Title. He would defend that title 20 times over the next 5 years until December 27, 1997, when he suffered a 5th-round TKO loss to Zolani Petelo of South Africa.

He had two unsuccessful attempts at the IBF Light Flyweight Title, first dropping a unanimous decision to Will Grigsby on December 18, 1998. And then on December 2, 2000, he suffered a 3rd-round TKO loss to Mexican Ricardo "Finito" Lopez in Las Vegas.

Retirement

After retirement Sor Vorapin was life is very difficult. He has lot of debt. Today, earn his living by selling a street vendor noodles and DVD own biography on the streets in the night.

Politics

In politically Sor Vorapin alliance with the United Front for Democracy Against Dictatorship (UDD) or Red Shirts, and joined the protesters on several occasions such as 2005–06 Thai political crisis or 2013–14 Thai political crisis.
