Beezley competed in the Miss California USA 2008 pageant on November 23, 2007 and initially placed second runner-up to Cristina Silva. One week after the pageant it was revealed that there had been an error in the accounting process, and Beezley was crowned Miss California USA. Beezley had previously placed second runner-up to Meagan Tandy in the 2007 pageant, and second runner-up to Stephanie Brink at Miss California Teen USA 2005. She also competed at Miss Asia Pacific International 2005 representing the United States but did not make the top 5 nor win any awards.
