Randall Wharton is an Irish sports entrepreneur, businessman and amateur athlete. He founded RigBag, a sports E-commerce company in 2011. In 2012 he won the South Western heat of the Blueface Business Elevator competition for startup businesses in the community and sports sectors. In June 2013 RigBag won "Angel or VC Backed Startup of the year" at the Startup Awards in Dublin, Ireland. Wharton has acted as a mentor at the Cork Startup Weekend, and Dublin Launch 48.
Wharton is an amateur long distance runner, competing in marathons and ultramarathons. He writes about distance running in a blog called RandRuns. RandRuns was a finalist in the 2015 Irish Blog Awards, and is a finalist in the 2016 RunUltra Blogger Awards and the 2016 Running Awards.
