Rakuten Anshin Torihiki (Rakuten safety trade) is anonymous auction trade system associate with Japan Post. It covers vendors and buyers personal information as real name, address, e-mail address, phone number and all items and cash go through Rakuten and they manage money transfer and shipping.

Process

After auction finished, buyers send to Rakuten bank account item price with postage. Vendors print out code number which Rakuten provides and brings items to Rakuten depot where located Wakayama prefecture and exchange code number to actual address of buyers and put actual address sticker on package and deliver them. After buyers received package, Rakuten deducts system fee (3.15% of contact price) and handling cost of money transfer to bank. (Sumitomo Mitsui Bank 0 Yen, Japan net bank 32 Yen, other banks 210 yen)

Problems

Rakuten doesn't allow users other way of trade except shop that pays monthly rent to Rakuten. All personal vendors have to use Rakuten Anshin Torihiki which is anonymous trade. Therefore, many swindle happened and Rakuten are irresponsible about trouble between vendors and buyers. Many users complained and sent mails to Rakuten however part timer send just template mail to users and don't tell anything to Rakuten staffs. Some of cases, Rakuten paid less than right price to vendors and they complained Rakuten. But they neglect and ignored vendors.
