Rajugudem is a small village located adjacent to medium water project called as Lanka Sagar. It comes under the Mandal of Vemsoor in Telangana. Most of the people in this village farmers, peasants. So Rajugudem is a typical example of agrarian economy depending on the agriculture. In recent years due to the economic liberalization or market reforms there has been a tremendous development in Hyderabad. So most of the youth in the village are have been settling in Hyderabad for a more prosperous life.

Library
The library of Rajugudem village has started with the support of its alumni especially Meda Ravi Chandra Sekhar. The major attendees to this meeting are M.E.O. of Vemsoor Mr. Venkateshwararao, M.D.O. Sivakumari. The opening of the library is the example how much the people of Rajugudem in knowledge. This investment in knowledge by previous generations has resulted in the prosperity the village experiencing today.

The village is administrated by panchayat raj system. Due to very less population officials combined Rajugudem with other villages adjacent to it like Yerraguntapadu, Kothachowdavaram (Tanda) to form one panchayath, The elections for this is going to conduct on July 23, 2013.
