Rajani was a popular TV series aired on Doordarshan in the mid-1980s directed by Basu Chatterjee. It had Priya Tendulkar in lead role. It became immensely popular for creating awareness among lax government offices and officials. It was written by Karan Razdan who also acted in the series.

Storyline
Rajani, plays the protagonist, who fights a government laxity in every episode. It tried to reflect the mid-1980s state of services at government offices.
Casting
After Padmini Kolhapure opted out, Priya Tendulkar was convinced to essay the role of a crusading housewife who fights the corrupt, inept civic system.
