Rahul Jandial, M.D., Ph.D. is an American, dual trained Brain Surgeon and Neuroscientist at City of Hope in Los Angeles, a hospital for cancer treatment designated as a Comprehensive Cancer Center by the National Cancer Institute. Dr. Jandial is an associate professor with expertise in the surgical treatment of cancers of the nervous system. His research focuses on brain tumors that arise from the spread of breast cancer cells into the brain (metastases).

Dr. Jandial earned his B.A. in molecular and cell biology from the University of California, Berkeley — his M.D. from the University of Southern California (USC), Los Angeles — and his Ph.D. from the University of California at San Diego (UCSD). Previously, Dr. Jandial worked as chief resident neurosurgeon at UCSD Medical Center. He was also a clinical instructor for the Department of Neurological Surgery at the University of California, San Francisco (UCSF). Currently he is an Associate Professor of Neurosurgery serving as a member of the faculty at City of Hope Department of Neurosurgery and Beckman Research Institute.

Humanitarian / Educator
Dr. Jandial is involved in community service through teaching, mentoring, and humanitarian efforts. Currently he teaches at USC Department of Biological Sciences to teach undergraduate students about careers in medicine and science. At the City of Hope Graduate School of Biological Sciences, he mentors students toward earning their Ph.D. in cancer biology. He is the founder and director of International Neurosurgical Children’s Association, which improves the standard of brain surgery provided to disadvantaged children in developing nations. INCA works with international missions and has renovated neurosurgical care in hospitals across Central and South America, Africa, and Eastern Europe.
